Opel developed together with the GOTTESLEBEN Advertising Agency a real firework of mobile content for the IAA convention in Frankfurt. Therewith the company headquartered in Rüsselsheim wanted to address younger target groups in a better and more efficient way. So, the Opel stand was equipped with 5 bluetooth spots (provided by blue cell networks) at the IAA. The downloadable content was absolutely “cutting edge”.
The clear highlight of the mobile contents is – besides attractive wallpapers, videos, sounds and java applications – the Opel Agila presentation. Matching the new car model the customer can design wallpapers within the application, personalize them and send the wallpapers screen-optimized to his mobile phone. This is an absolute world novelty within the mobile marketing space. This functionality has never been used in this form before.
Herewith Opel clearly picks up the web 2.0 trend also for the mobile phone as the user is included in the production of content.
